Our client's team is responsible for web services, web-based applications, and Windows-based applications. Application development is done in a Microsoft .Net environment, primarily utilizing VB.Net. The individual selected will develop, enhance, and support new/existing applications as a member of the E-Services team.
A primary responsibility will be development of applications to receive tax data in XML format, validate XML schema, send acknowledgements in XML format, process data in accordance with defined work rules, and move data to the client's information systems.
The individual selected will work with the development and support of MeF applications as well as development, enhancement, and support of other new/existing web-based and Windows-based applications supported by the E-Services team. Application development is done in a Microsoft .Net environment, primarily utilizing VB.Net.
The individual selected will be expected to provide customer support in a professional manner, to understand the technical requirements placed upon customers, and to prepare clear, concise statements of business issues that require resolution by the application development team.
The individual selected must meet the following requirements:
1. Meet qualifications of an Information Technology Specialist 4 per State guidelines.
2. Proficient in development of applications utilizing VB.Net, ASP.Net, ADO.Net, C#, and JavaScript.
3. Proven experience with XML.
4. Proficient in relational database queries.
5. Knowledgeable in data transformation, BizTalk preferred.
6. Proven experience in the development of structured test scripts and plans for use in executing unit and system testing.
7. Experienced in providing customer services support regarding data transmission and file formats.
In addition to the above technical skills the ideal candidate will have the folloiwng skills:
- Be capable of multiple programming assignments in a timely manner.
- Possess strong business writing and interpersonal skills required for customer contact.
- Pass a criminal background check
- Up to date with State of Iowa Tax Filing requirements
- Be available August 19th on an on-site Monday through Friday basis
